NEW MARLBOROUGH — Select Board approves electricity rate increase and vocational training funding. The board unanimously amended its electricity supply contract with First Point Power, raising rates to $0.15000 per kilowatt hour, according to Town Administrator Mari Enoch, who cited unprecedented winter cold and program uncertainties. In separate unanimous votes, the board recommended a $10,509 Reserve Fund Request to cover vocational education costs for a Taconic High student and approved a $3,105 Fire Department grant for wildfire protection gear.
The farmer's market will relocate to town property at the Meeting House, operating Sundays June 7 through October 11.
