NEW MARLBOROUGH — Select Board unanimously approves easement for Canaan-Southfield culvert reconstruction, awards two-year tree contract. Chair Tara B. White moved to approve an order of taking for easements on the Sarno property with $1,125 compensation; all three board members voted aye.
The board awarded a two-year tree services contract to John W Field Tree Service Inc at $4,000 per day plus hourly rates from $150 to $350. Conservation Agent Mary Summers was approved for a one-year contract at $41 per hour, maximum 120 hours or $4,920, funded by the Wetlands Protection Act fund. The board reappointed nine individuals to 13 positions for FY 27.
