New Marlborough approves 4.6 million dollar FY27 budgets and establishes retiree health fund. The Select Board unanimously backed the combined operating and capital budgets for fiscal year 2027 and voted unanimously to raise 50,000 dollars toward establishing an Other Post Employee Benefits trust fund for future retiree health insurance costs, a proposal by Town Administrator Mari Enoch. The Finance Committee unanimously agreed to recommend reducing its membership from seven to five members through a bylaw amendment, effective at the May 2027 town election.

The board also greenlit 318,200 dollars in Free Cash capital appropriations and authorized a 65,000 dollar compactor purchase for the Transfer Station.
