NEW MARLBOROUGH — Design Review Committee discusses Town Hall renovation design approaches. The committee met August 4 with four of five members present to review architectural options for elevator placement: interior installation within the building or exterior addition. Structural analysis indicated the interior approach is feasible, though it requires exterior wall bracing.

Committee members expressed concerns about preserving the building's historical exterior and the large upstairs hall. The architect is expected to provide the detailed program by end of week, after which the committee will vote to approve it subject to minor modifications.
