New Marlborough Conservation Commission denies amended conditions and issues enforcement order after property owner installs fence and digs utility trenches without permits. Co-Chair K. Hoffman and members voted unanimously to reject the Merkel property amendment at 1277 Hartsville Mill River Road, with Conservation Agent Mary Summers noting this was the second violation at the address in months after an earlier retroactive permit for unpermitted vegetation removal and patio work.
The Commission approved a draft wetland bylaw for potential inclusion in the June town meeting and issued an amended Order of Conditions for the Rennert property requiring all plantings be native to Berkshire County, with K. Hoffman authorized to make minor counsel-recommended changes to the bylaw.
